This whole blogging thing seems to come easier for some people like in the case of this blogging rock chick. Great blog name...great blog content...interesting stories about her life in general. Who would have thought years ago when AOL was slow as the coffee line at Starbucks and the Internet service Prodigy was still around, that we would be writing about ourselves and actually finding people who found that interesting? This is just such a blog. I love the template setup with the girl on the side and the whole format fits the mood of your blog. Great job!

LIVID
.
Here is a blog that has some formatting issues but otherwise a well written and interesting blog. A perfect example is the post called A Day In The Life... where I found myself surprisingly interested in reading about the daily routine of this guys life. I also think you have a great way of "reviewing" products which could come in handy if you ever decide to do the PPP thing. What I would suggest is trying to re format your link area...getting rid of the Google news and the random blog button links unless they are there for a reason...and then you can edit the links so you don't have to show the full URL address in your widget box area. Also I'd add a sitemeter to see how much traffic you are getting...You have s good blog here and should be able to see how many visitors and return visitors are showing up...although I just thought about the fact that you have a My Blog Log box on your blog so that will serve as a counter...Great job and keep up the good work.
Pickled eel
This blog is brought to us from the land down under and is full of fantastic adventures in some pretty exotic locations...at least for this Philly boy. The writing is first class with content and stories that keep you interest. I found myself wanting to go from post to post as the writing actually pulled you in. Nice work. As for the blog itself I think it has all the right bells and whistles with Technorati...sitemeter...and all the stuff in between that a blog should have without being overbearing or too busy looking. I'll be adding this blog to my Tecnorati favorites for sure. Well done and great job! Keep the blog rolling.

narconon
Keeping with an earlier post theme I'll be reviewing another topic involving drug addiction and a fantastic program offered at Stone Hawk. If you are afflicted with addiction and you are looking for a drug treatment program where 3 out of 4 of the folks that go through the program leave clean and stay clean, then Stone Hawk is for you. That's a %76 + percent success rate, a success rate that exceeds the traditional 12 step programs offered out there today. So how does Stone Hawk achieve such a fantastic success rate in it's "graduates"? By a program that was developed by William Benitez called narconon. This involves a total program and the success rate of narconon is outstanding as I've stated above. Aside from the program, the facility itself is beautiful and inviting as can be seen by taking this virtual tour. There is no doubt that the combination of the caring staff at Stone Hawk and the narconon program will help you achieve the success you are looking for in the battle of drug addiction.

Who's listening
After playing link tag we finally clicked with this one with the listener's blog. This is an extension of a really great concept website called What's On Your Mind where you basically can get things off your chest or simply request a prayer. The listener's blog is his thoughts on life in general with a positive twist and it looks to be on it's way to becoming a great blog. New blogs always have a trial and error period where the blog and blogger finds their rhythm and style. Both this blog and website are great ideas and a great service if offered to people who can really use it. Everyone needs an ear to listen to them sometimes and now there is a place to find it.
Sean Dinner
This pizza delivering..graphics designing...new to blogging...blogger submitted this blog for critique and I'm glad he did. There are some blogs that I can tell as soon as I click on them and they load that they will be a success if they are maintained and kept current. Sean has all the right "stuff" in place to help get the ball rolling and he is on the road to revenue with his ad placements and advertising. The blog is set up and formatted nicely (as you would suspect from a designer) and the content is good too. It is a good mix of all kinds of stuff with topics ranging from contests to marketing to web design. It's all covered. Check this one out and watch it grow.
Cooking with Ann
Sometimes it is hard to stay on a diet when blogs like this fantastic one sneaks into my inbox. Ann is the mother of five girls and two boys. I almost would have to think that in itself makes you an expert on cooking. What I love about this blog is that it stays on track and on theme with food reviews...recipies...food talk. It's like the food network of the blog world. I love it. She's been blogging food since 2005, so it's safe to say if you are looking for that certain something to whip up for the in laws this Sunday, I'm sure you can find it here. We need to get a blog cook-off going somewhere...maybe we can host it in Vegas...Nice job Ann and keep up the good food....I mean work!
Allie's Life
As I clicked on the link to this blog I was presented with Allie's post where she and her little girl are sporting' their new hair doos... The blog has more depth to it than that though. It's basically what blogs are meant to be. A journal of...well...Allie's life. Her thoughts and pondering...Recently the issue has been to hire a realtor or not to sell their home...The blog is an interesting read as I like to see just plain talk about what is going on in the lives of people in their blogs. Sometimes life is more interesting than fiction. The only criticism is to use dark fonts when writing your posts. Some of your earlier posts are written in light color lettering and on the yellow background it is hard to see and read. Other than that I liked the blog alot...great work!
Cuke-y
This blog reminds me of the Sinatra Song...Five minutes more. Only because of the URL title. The blog is hip and interesting with some cool poetry and thoughts that cross cuke's mind. The layout is nice but I don't see any archive section....Making this statement got me in trouble once....so I double checked...but can still be mistaken. If I am mistaken-I'm wrong, if I'm not mistaken-I'm right. Either way I'm covered. Not that it is a big deal but you have some good stuff on this blog and if there is more to explore it should be made available. Nice job and keep up the good work.
prescription drug addiction
I love it when I get the opportunity to bring attention to great web sites like the one I am about to review. It's called 1800-Nodrugs.com and it is a drug rehab referral service as well as a fantastic site for advice and information about addiction, alcoholism, drug trends, and some fantastic information about an addiction that is easy to get wrapped up in and hard to control and that topic is prescription drug addiction. There was alot about this topic in the news some time ago with a high profile radio personality who was alleged to have had a problem with prescription drugs. Places like 1800nodrugs.com is a fantastic place for resources and a great place to get started to get yourself or a loved one some help. Whether is be alcohol addiction, drug addiction, or prescription drug addiction, the people at 1800nodrugs.com will be able to help you and get you started on the right path to take to get your life in order and break away from the grips of addiction. The cost is free and the call is free. Take that first step toward sobriety and peace of mind and visit the folks at 1800nodrugs.com today!

Monetized Mondays will have to be put off until next week as there were no submission sot the contest this week.
Maui Mama
Let me just say that this is a refreshing change. I don't know if it's the different looking template or the fact that there are photos of island themes in the background...but I really like this blog. As I said the template is interesting and the photo on the top is great. The blog is about Sandy and her pursuit of balancing life as a mother of 4...fmaily...and her life as an ER Nurse. YIKES! Sounds tough, but no doubt she can and is doing it. It's a pleasure reading through her blog and seeing life in paradise, especially since I'm reading it from Philadelphia where it was in the 30's for Easter...Great job and well done...I will be returning for a visit myself and I think it would be worth a visit from the other bloggers to have a look at this A+ blog.
Kiss of Debt
One of my favorite topics is anything to do with finance...investments...and debt reduction. This blog first off is a winner for it's title...I love it. As I read through the blog I found some interesting and useful posts. The blog keeps with the theme which is important for a blog like this. I noticed you didn't have a site meter...how do you track your visitor traffic? Also I think I might add some more adsense to your blog or text link ads also would work here. Great work and the set up is terrific. Keep up the good work and good luck on your journey!
Cats meow
Alright Cat lovers...pour yourself a cup of coffee and settle into the Varieties Of Life brought to us by..well...who else...Meow. She has a blog where the main theme is cats and although I'm not a big cat fan...I could find some humor and interest in the blog. Her post Cats On Tuesday #13-Rules for cats who have a house to run is a purrfect (couldn't resist) example. The blog is set up in a busy manner with lots to look at and the posts are well written. Cat lovers and blog lovers alike should check this one out. Well done.
Laketrees
Not too much to say here other than an award winning artist is using the blogging platform as a means of promoting her fantastic art work. This is just one of the many tools that blogs can be used for and I think it is great. My Uncle was an artist so I have a deep appreciation of art work...This is s cool blog to visit.
Newlywives
Here is one of the most useful blogs I've come across for my wife to look at! :) This fantastic concept blog is the brainchild of a newlywed who actually had the idea for a book on the topic before it became a blog! It is brilliantly thought out and planned with topics covering cooking, cleaning, massage therapy, and a feature called "wifely duty Wednesday". There is a place where you can "ask the newlywife" and a boatload of other fun features that I'm sure you will enjoy. This blog is no doubt on it's way to becoming a very popular blog. Nice job and keep the blog rolling! I was just kidding about the wife jab...we've been married for a while and her "Wednesday wifely duties" consist of telling me what room to vacuum and what load of wash to bring down to the basement!
The Chow Dynasty
This blog was submitted to me a while ago and I would check in on it fro time to time and on April Fools day I happened to check it out and was almost tricked into his sinister joke. I wonder how many people fell for it. Another interesting thing to note about this blog is that it is recorded that over 120,000 visitors have stopped by since the blogs inception in June of 2006. This tells me our boy Vince is one popular guy. I can understand how because the blog is actually a pretty interesting blog. It is full of a bunch of stuff. I can't be more descriptive than that. You actually need to stop by and visit and go the extra step and visit the archives and browse. Now my question is...any relation to John Chow? Great job Vince...liked the blog alot and you have a repeat visitor here.
Slacker Mom
I was almost getting nervous we were running out of mom blogs when I came across Slackermommy int he cavernous inbox. Here is a a blog after my own heart...that is...if I were a mom...I am a slacker dad living with a June cleaver mom who shakes at the sight of a speck of dust on the floor. Anyway I'm glad you offered you blog for review. It's refreshing to see a real...down to earth...mom blogging about real...down to earth things. Check out an earlier post called blogging with kids to get a feel for the genius of this blog. Definitely a fun blog to read and it's good to see the feedburner count at 17...alot of people put those counters on their sites and no one signs up and it looks bad. Great job overall!
Colloquium
What a fantastic blog that came into the inbox by a blogger/musician named Janie. You're in the club if you are a musician in my book...being a classically trained trombone player myself I have a bias toward musicians...This blog loads a little slow...the blogger admitted that to me in the email...but it's not that bad...and the material is great with the blog set up in an easy to navigate manner. The only thing I didn't like was the way your archives are collapsed...that's just a personal note..other than that I thought the blog was fantastic and I have to agree with you on the topic of the Sopranos being the best show on television.
New and Improved
Here is the opposite of the last blog in that it is light and fun...this bloggers posts on his ideas and thoughts about the world around him. Commenting on film and television and when it is in season...football! He describes himself as a 43 year old sarcastic son of a bitch...but a nice guy all the same. Tell you something right there. Kidding aside the blog is fun with a post about George Carlin and the blogger alludes to Monty Python in his first post...so those two things puts him in the "ok with me" category. Great job and well done!
The Journey
For as many fun blogs that come across my inbox on a daily basis I also get a good share of blogs that are serious in nature. Rindy's blog is one of those blogs. I have said time and time again about how blogging can be a fantastic tool for being therapeutic and helping to express feelings and emotions that you want to express but there isn't always an ear to listen or maybe you just don't want to really talk about the problem and it is easier to write about it. I don't know if that is the case here or not but I do know that there are some very deep and personal material that is laid out in this blog. Well written and thought provoking are two adjectives that come to mind. I think the blog is going well and I'm sure you will find alot of people over time will be in your corner.
Dayngrous Discourse
We got a hot one tonight as Randy Jackson would say..."A Blond With A Brain An A Blog" is how
discourse describes herself and I thing that says it all! This witty blog is designed fantastically with posts that are fun and post that will cut the subject clear in half with her clear and sharp style as in her April 5th Post will demonstrate. No doubt this blogger has her act together with a well thought out blog...well thought out theme...and a cool template to go with it. Nothing but "A" pluses for this blogger and you won't be sorry you stopped by this highway to the Dayngrzone!
blog advertising
I started with the pay per post concept about a month ago after researching it a little and googling the articles that people have written about them. I realized that is sounded like a fantastic concept for both bloggers and the sites the bloggers were promoting. It was clear to see that on of the best tools for these sites was blog advertising. After all, what better medium to advertise your product than a blog? They are updated daily, millions of people visit them, the Googles and the Yahoos of the world love them. It's basically a win win situation for everyone involved. Blog advertising is nothing new, it's been around since the blog concept began. What is unique is the pay per post way of doing things. I have to say I was a little skeptical going into things. I asked around the blogosphere and found other bloggers who loved putting these sponsored posts up on their blog and they were making some god money doing so. I decided then to give it a try. After submitting my blog to pay per post for review I sat and waited. Finally I got the email that my blog was approved and from that point on I was eligible to put pay per post advertisements on my blog! I was excited and the process began. After some trial and error I finally got the concept of blog advertising and how and what the sponsors expected of me. I started to get approvals and this last week I finally got my first couple of payments amount to about 13 dollars. I have another 150 dollars or so coming my way and I understand it is a process. So I have patience. As time goes on it will become more and more automatic and the money movement will become more steady. As for now I am thrilled at the fact that I am on my way to being able to pay my wireless Internet bill with the money I make from pay per post and anything left over...well...my wife will get.

PAm's Daily Ponderings
Web entrepreneur and blog addict Pam has submitted her blog for a review a few years ago...just kidding, but I am a little behind, and I have to say it is on it's way to becoming a great blog. She blogs about her daily life and other things she comes across in regards to blogging and making her blog better. I love the fact that she has promoted her web businesses right on the top right hand corner of her sidebar....blogs are fantastic tools for marketing and she is doing a fabulous job of this! I'm curious how your Disney trip goes...we had the same deal...we went with friends who were Disney Club members and we sat through the sales pitch and they gave my wife and I a 50 dollar gift card for our time. Love the blog....keep the blog rolling!

Playing Catch Up
I was going to try to aggressively catch up on some blog critiques today but I have to go into work today...so it won't be as aggressive as I thought...I will be doing my best over the next few days to catch up though...thanks for every ones patience and have a great rest of your weekend.
Skittles Review!!!!!
I want to welcome everyone to my first review here at Critique My Blog! Thanks to Billy Mac for allowing me to do this here.
The Wooden Porch
I have been a fan of this blog for a long time. I enjoy reading the posts written by Blogger Lani, who is never afraid to laugh at herself and family. She is honest and entertaining. I invite you to take a look at these selections.
I think one of the first posts I read was this Laugh Out Loud Monday which DID make me laugh as Lani showed what Halloween costume she bought for her baby.
Lani is a loving wife as you'll find out when you read the second part of Family Pains. You'll laugh when you read the "salad" part of this Friday's Feast post she did about one of their Valentine's Day together and the gifts they gave each other.
Lani is a meticulous housekeeper and very concerned with always looking her best. She loves to talk to anyone as you'll see when you read Someone Just Shut Me Up.
Of course life isn't always funny, and Lani has posted bravely and honestly about the birth and aftermath of her stillborn son.
Please stop by The Wooden Porch to read even more posts written by this wonderful lady. Tell her Skittles and Critique My Blog sent you.

As I write this review I myself am sipping my morning coffee and enjoying this blog brought to us by MK. Aside from having this insightful blog she has alot of other romance inspired businesses and websites. The Romance Goddess is one of them. Temptation goddess is another. Love this blog as it is easy going and anything that mentions coffee is ok in my book and I encourage you all to check out this entrepreneurial blogger's other blogs!
Reach for the blessing
Tiffany brings us this blog full of positive feelings and insights about her life that is wrapped around her family and the Lord...I love the post about Christmas entitled I Believe...I Believe...I Believe... and her most current post called Do It Anyway where she talks alittle about the Martina McBride song of the same title...great job and as I said I love the positive undertones that are spread throughout the blog. Excellente!
Friday
Dr. Blogstein and Bobby Griffen
With all the drama surrounding Bobby's Bestest Blog I decided to have a listen to Dr. Blogstein's interview with him that was recorded on Wednesday. First of all...that was my first visit to Dr. Blogstein's blog. It won't be the last. What a fantastic and interesting idea. It is set up as a blog with witty and fun commentary...great posts and the best part is a "radio show" that he hosts with guests that call in. As I said this one I listened to was an interview, among other things, with Bobby Griffen from Bestest Blog and Bond from his BIG LEATHER COUCH was calling in with American Idol updates! He also had a guest "hostess" Jamie who was sitting in. I found the whole concept to be fantastic and the Doc has gained a new fan in Billy Mac. As for the interview with Bobby...I have two things to say...one is if he ever decides to leave teaching he can still do improve comedy as a Ray Romano impersonator. I thought he sounded alot like Ray Romano. Second is that it's good to see all the "drama" has subsided and I look forward to his "grand re-opening" of Bestest Blog. Like Bond said on the interview...he was excited to get the email about being bestest blog and I felt the same way...I had just started Critique My Blog and Bobby's Blog catapulted me into the blogosphere full force...to the point of burn out actually :) So having said all this I welcome everyone to stop by Dr Blogsteins (is you haven't already) and say hello and join the fan club!
Old man
Love this blog written by the wife of a marine who is coming home! First off I must say thank you to this blogger and her husband for his service. My hat is off to your husband and it's a great thing you and your husband sacrificed. As for the blog I have to say it is perfectly set up with some great posts. I have to give a negative comment about your music player. These things scare the bajesus out of me as I blog is a quiet area and I also use my computer as a radio when I work out...so the volume is turned up and when one of those automatic music players on a blog pops on I jump out of my skin. Great job with the blog and again thank you to your husband!
What's new at Critique My Blog
First off let me say thank you to Skittles for her fantastic review...as always...spot on. Next I want to say that hopefully over this weekend I will aggressively start to catch up on the blog reviews. The inbox is bulging and I want to bring it as up to date as I can. Today was family day so we went to see Disney's Meet The Robinsons...if you go to see it be sure to pay the extra 2 bucks to get the 3-D glasses...Great movie. I will be also sending out confirmation email to those who submitted to winning the 100 dollars on Memorial day by signing up for my feedblitz feed and adding me to your technorati favorites....also monetized Mondays is still active up until memorial day as well...Thanks again to 3 more donations I had this week! It's very nice to get a thank you like that....totally unnecessary, but nice all the same. It's amazing to see the donations range from a dollar to actually 15 bucks! Also know that it does not in any way speed up the critiquing process...I get a confirmation with an email address...no way to really know who sent the donation unless they leave a message...Also notice I have started a Throwback Thursday section where I will revisit some old critiques from the past....I am well over 500 critiques at this point and going strong thanks to everyone. Thanks to everyone who has submitted for a critique and it's because of you that I get to visit the creativity that are your blogs and to do what I love...write.
Thursday
Throwback Thursdays
I'm going to try to keep a little series on Thursdays where I look back at some of the blogs I've critiqued from the past. This will be my 538th post since starting Critique My Blog and my first couple of re-visits will be from September of 2006. Starting with Empress Bee of the High Sea's blog Muffin53 was a past favorite of mine and she hasn't missed a beat. Her bog is just as fun and entertaining as it was in the past...only with more awards to show for it. Her side bar is a showcase for all kinds of blogging awards and recognitions. My next re-visit was to Morgan from It's A BLOG EAT BLOG WORLD...still moving full speed ahead with blog entertainment and witty posts. Still speaking in the first person is Yaxlich from the world of yaxlich with his head scratching observations and content splitting posts. Last but not least I re-visited the very first blog I ever critiqued. Alessia from Waiting....Wishing. She is still rattling on abot her life as she waits and wishes... It's great to see how all of these bloggers have evolved into some fantastic blogs with dedicated readers and "fans" that visit them and I love to see that they continue to put out quality content. They are true blogging professionals, for lack of a better word, so why not stop by and tell them Billy Mac from Critique My Blog sent you.
Show me state of mind
In "real estate girl's" email to me she dubbed me the Obi-wan-blog-expert. I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I know what I like and am a good judge of character and talent. This is one of those blogs I can say I like, and like alot. Personality pures from this blog as it takes you on a joyride through the neighborhood that is "real estate girl's". The blog is quick and witty, well written, and spot on fantastic. Mind you I'm not being generous with the adjectives because of the kind compliment she made in her e-mail (although flattery never hurts :), it's safe to take my advice here and have take a trip over to Show Me State Of Mind and say Hi. It will be well worth the trip.
Matters of the Heart
This is a tough one. I found the blog to be gloomy in spots. As I read to try to get a glimpse into the bloggers mind I could only come up with a possible problem with addiction at some point. There alot of deep poetry and prayer excerpt and bits and pieces about life. This one is not a light hearted, grab a cup of coffee and settle in, kind of blog. It's more of a pull down your spectacles and be prepared kind of blog. Very well written with deep feeling.
Pea's corner
Here is a cool blog called Pea's Corner from Canada. It comes complete with an automatic music thingy that scares the hell out of me...no one seems to care. This blog peaked m interest because it looks like Pea and her family has a syrup business. If this is true then where is your web store? A friend of mine just moved to Vermont and I had a taste of fresh maple syrup and once you've tried it fresh...Aunt Jamima tastes like paste. Very well written and keeps your interest throughout. I recommend a visit to Pea's corner of the world and say hi.
Sussie's Space
First off let me say that I love this blog with it's reminisces of the past. I wish...wish...wish my mortgage was only 135 dollars a month! Check out the post April is full of memories. Very nice.
I love when I read about a couple that has been together for 38 years! These are all great things and say alot about the blogger and as a result...their blog. Susie's blog overall is warm and inviting with stories about family, past and present, that charm the reader. I found your blog very entertaining.
Egomania
Ryan is a busy blogger these days as he keeps up and edits these 5 blogs:
http://ryantology.blogspot.com/, http://lawsondetectiveagency.blogspot.com/, http://4outs.blogspot.com/,http://swunt.blogspot.com/, and this one. The writing in some of your blogs is alittle aloof in my opinion, but interesting at the same time. No doubt this blogger knows baseball and is chock full of stats. Definitely a group of blogs from the readers to comment on.
Addies
It's great to come across a blog that is so dedicated to God and family..addie's blog is just that. There are alot of prayers...poetry...and bits and pieces about her daily life and times. Very calming in spots and it makes you stop and think. I like her post entitled, Directions to our Father's house. Very nicely done Addie....keep up the good work!

This blog is only a few months old but by the looks at the comment sections it has alot of steady readers and popularity. I enjoyed reading through this blog with lots of good stories and photography. I am going to give my opinion and some constructive criticism. The blog is not complimented by the template you've chosen. The green is hard on the eyes. The blog has alot to offer in the content and I think if the template was softer it would jive better with the posting. Also it looks like you were experimenting with labels that are stuck at the bottom of the page and I am confused by the idiot report that is there. If you are going to keep a label section you might want to edit and move it to the sidebar. Other than that I think the blog is moving in the right direction and I truly enjoyed reading through it.
