Gabe's review

Gabe's blog entitles, What Else Is There, has a philosophical feeling with lots of thinking on the part of the blogger. Don't get me wrong...it's not boring Aristotle or anything like that...in fact there are posts about sports and it seems to be we have a Green Bay Packers fan on our hands here. The posts are sporadic but consistent...he just doesn't post every day. I'd guess it is because he is busy being a teacher and a coach and a new father and a husband...all wrapped up in one. Stop by and say hello to Gabe and see what he's thinking about today and see if you can help him figure out What else there is.

Happy 31

I think we need a blogosphere happy anniversary for this couple who is celebrating their 31rst wedding anniversary! Stop over and wish them well! They met when I was born and fast forward to the future they are celebrating a long and blessed marriage. Congrats! You'll find great recipes and posts about friendship and lots more at suzybloomers blog...great job and keep the blog rolling!

Send me some of those

Creativity is the code word for today...this time we are dealing with a cake maker...look out Ace of Cakes because you have some competition on your hands. In her post, While I Was Away, there is a good example of her work...although the blog is full of photos of cakes and cookies that she made...my question is when is the web store going to go up so we can all order some of these yummy looking treats. Nice job. Last comment...KAREN KINGSBURY HAS A BLOG! Dunno...got to go to the blog to find out.

Stranded in the Mountains

This is a scary blog title until you click into it and see that this blog is about a helpless romantic Kathy and her passion for her family, her God, and...well...photography...some pretty awesome picture taking is going on in this blog. The only thing I can't tell is if it is a new blog or not because there is no archive section that I see. Liked the blog alot...nice job!

Green Thumb

Looks like you're full of creativity. The blog is packed full of photos of Jean's home and how she has decorated it...making photo collages and outside arrangements to compliment the season. All that creative energy and a blog to boot. It's a great way to share all these pics and if your are looking to get a good idea of just like to browse photos...this is the blog for you.

Brenda's blog critique

Well I think it is safe to say that there is no shortage of Christian blogs. Brenda brings us her blog about her faith and family. Having a reason to blog is as important as having something to blog about...I find that in alot of the Christian blogs it is so evident that a real true faith in God is what drives people through life and helps them through tough times which is a good thing to see. Brenda's blog has these qualities and more. Stop by and have a seat on the rocking chairs and say hello. Enjoy.

Psychology News and Research Briefs

THIS IS A PAY PER POST ADVERTISEMENT
What's important to you when searching for a doctor, more importantly, a therapist or counselor? Is it trust? How about finding that therapist? Where do you turn and how do you find one? Do you thumb through the Yellow Pages like your shopping for an air conditioner or do you research a little more diligently than that? Would a place where you can get psychology news and Research Briefs be important? Would a company that's been around since 1996 and has a track record of success for matching counselors and therapists with the people who are looking for them matter to you? A place to go online that is so user friendly you simply type in your zip code and the problem you are experiencing and you are on your way. How about a website that offers mental health resources also? Does all this sound like a place you can trust to research and find a therapist in your area that you can trust and build a relationship with? Can you see yourself trusting a resource that has been helping people for over 10 years to find the help that they are seeking? If so then you have to visit http://www.findcounseling.com/ and begin your search with peace of mind.

My Quiet Corner

Blogging from the Pacific Northwest, momrn2 brings invites us to her quiet corner of the earth where she blogs about things important to her like family and God. This Christian blogger's interesting question and one that makes you wonder is Would God Blog? This 2 part series with a follow up in recent posts brings up an interesting point...and I guess the main question would be...would he need a critique? I'm available and would be honored. All kidding aside this blog is well done and easy to read and I'd recommend a visit.

Pissed off Housewife Critique

Anger management seems in order here as the Pissed Off Housewife gripes and complains about how her child's school is ripping her off and bleeding her dry in School fundraising makes me screech!
Come to think of it...I'd be pissed off too! Don't get the wrong idea about this blog...it's not all ranting and raving...the posts keep your interest and the blog itself is set up nicely. One constructive criticism I might offer is to limit your labels. Maybe pick a few topics and put each post in it...don't have one label for "My nose is running today" and then one for "My kids crayoned on the wall" because before you know it, and it's already happening...your label section will take over you sidebar...other than that I liked the blog alot and think you're headed in the right direction.

Sunday

All for the best

It's all for the best is a blog that has no real one particular point and I think that's what gives it it's charm. Along with a bunch of other interesting posts the one that hit me in the tummy was a more recent post about making pirogees from scratch. I think this may need to be my last critique of the day as most of the blogs today have involved great recipes or food ideas and it will sabotage my diet...I really enjoyed going through Heather's blog and found alot of her stuff interesting...Great job!

Deeledge Critique

This old pro Sheri brings us a blog that has been around since 2004...most recently she writes of her woes of an almost exploding appendix which I can relate to. In the 7th grade this happened to me and when they went in to take it out somehow my intestines were wrapped around it. One thing I find interesting especially in older, more established blogs, is the progression from starting the blog to the present day. It's fun to look at earlier posts and how the blog evolved through the years. Nicely done Sheri and keep the blog bouncing!

Chelsea Morning Blog critique

Clicking on Barb's blog I was instantly taken back to the shores of Ocean City where we go every summer and with the snow on the ground I am longing for ever more. Barb's blog is one of those blogs that will make me navigate away from my diet because of not only recipes but photos of the yummy finished products...or as Rachael Ray would say...Yummo! As I read through Barb's blog I was happy to see it was an easy read full of great posts that engages the reader. Well done and keep it up!

Granny's Blog Critique

This is one of the most charming and well thought out blogs I've come across in a while...well written...fun to look at...easy to navigate. It has it all...talk about one cutting edge granny. A computer age granny who raised 9 children and is a "granny" to 12. Granny was also a home schooler and after teaching 9 children I'm sure she must have been eligible for teacher of the year on more than one occasion...Great job granny and keep the blog rolling! I highly reccomend this blog.

For such a time as this blog critique.

Deidre's blog is a Christian blog which speaks mostly on her life as a mother and wife...A relaxing template and all the right bells and whistles without being too flashy...Her post on headaches hit home with me as I used to get them badly as a child to the point of hospitalization...also, the post about her blog being flagged as a spam blogger is funny because that happened to my blog when I first started also..Google can be goofy sometimes...Great blog to read and enjoy and I would recommend it today.

Diane's Place

When you click on into Diane's blog you get the feeling of down home hospitality for some reason. Diane is truly a "family blogger" who is clearly very proud and very loving of her family. She also has a cool feature called Diane's Sunday Dinner that makes my mouth water and my tummy grumble (I'm on a diet..so it's been rabbit for a whole wheat for me ). If you are reading this today then you can see the latest installment fresh today! Also...our girl Diane has another blog called...Diane's Recipe Blog for all you foodies out there...so stop on by and say hello and get comfy at Diane's place.

Living in Grace

Kelli brings us a story of her kidney failure and the journey to receive a transplant and everything that goes in between. The recap to the story can be read about here. It's a testament to this women who is faced with this problem and yet to read her writing you would never think anything is wrong...there is "woe is me" could that hovers over this blog...just a positive journey to be healthy again.

J and C and Me

TO journal for alot of people is a great way to keep thoughts and ideas clear...a way to express feeling and emotions, hopes and dreams...a plce to gripe about your day and a place to tell a secret. Rebecca was a writer who used to do the Doogie Houser journal on Word. Thank goodness she found blogging and now we can all keep up with the life and times of Rebecca. All kidding aside I have to say that I like this log alot...the posts are written clearly and they flow easily which makes it a pleasure to read thorough. To get the full story of Rebecca's conversion to blogging read her intro post. All the right things going on here so stop by and say hello. Well done.

Leap of faith blog critique

Lauri and John's blog chronicles the adopting and life with a cute little girl adopted from Russia...I've always thought that parenting was a privilege and it's great to see a little girl who was in need of parents find 2 who clearly loves her alot. How great is fate! The blog is touching and fun and everything in between as it goes through the day to day in this Leap of Faith!

Do you know what it means to miss "greater" New Orleans.

I've visited New Orleans and loved the city...it was a stop off on my honeymoon cruise. I was horrified when I saw the destruction that Katrina brought...it broke my heart. George is using his blog as a way to reach out to people to bring attention to the suburbs of New Orleans (for lack of a better word) and the need to more attention being paid to these areas. Using a blog as a platform for change is a fantastic use of the Internet and a blog because it can potentially reach millions of people...the problem I see here is that this blog need more traffic. With only 700 visitors since its inception, I think the message if falling short of the attention it needs. Stop over and read what George is proposing...See if you agree and/or support his message. The whole area of New Orleans and the surrounding area was devastated and his message makes sense.
One thing on a critical note...you should try to refresh your content every so often to keep your blog in the Google next blog roll, and if you hadn't done so already...be sure to add you blog to googles search engine.

My Lounge blog crtitique

Rl's blog covers lots of topics...mostly inspirational and positive posts about all kinds of topics. In the post...a definition of a kiss...the worth of a kiss from different perspectives is looked at. There is also alot to look at, this post with pics of a yoga master made my bad back hurt even worse! Only thing I'd loos at is possible reformatting your blogroll and revisit your adsense codes. Nice job and great blog.

Shortybear's Place

This is a tough on for me because I'm not sure if you just started this blog or what...do you have the archives enabled on your blog or is it a brand new blog? One thing I'd consider adding is a sitemeter to see how many people are visiting your blog. The posts are good and it looks like you have some drama going on with someone commenting on your posts. Good luck with the blog and keep the blog rolling.

Devil Dogs Blog

First off I must say thank you to this military family for Devildog's service...As for the blog, although being only a few months old, it has already accumulated over 175 posts which tells me that devildog wife enjoys what we all like doing and that is blogging! Devil Dogs's wife blogs about her life and her family as they lie the life of a military family. It's not surprising to see that a majority of the posts revolve around family and it is clear to see that family is everything with these folks. Strong faith and a love for each comes through strongly and it is definitely a blog to put on your must visit list.

Saturday

Book CLub

Welcome again to a new blog platform blogger from Xanga...our blogger Tauna is very active in a book club which is mostly the main focus of this blog...interesting reviews of books she is reading or read along with a snip it of life. Only thing I might suggest would be to add a sitemeter to see who's visiting your blog and how much traffic you are generating...nicely done...

Kinda Weird...well...kinda

OK...so we have a spinster on our hands...Some suggestions would be to add a sitemeter to your blog so you can see how much traffic your blog is getting and if you are getting any readers. Second...if you are going to have adsense ads on your blog try to position them alittle better instead of being buried on the bottom. Adding too much stuff on your blog like the chat box and stuff like that makes the blog look uneven because you want your visitors to concentrate on your story telling and not so much on the other stuff. As with any kind of writing...a writer writes and a blogger blogs...so keep it up!

A Greek Comedy

First off let me welcome another typepad blogger to CMB...I love it when bloggers from other platforms send me their blogs and I hope to see more. Having said that I must warm anyone thinking of visiting this blog to be aware that the subject matter may be hard for some readers to take. It is a story of incredible and horrible circumstances endured by this blogger when she was very young and her journey to escape this horrible life and make a life of her own. A truly heart wrenching and eye opening story. Stop by to offer your kind welcomes and support.

Angelena's

Here is a sweet blog from Ellie chronicling her journey of adopting a little baby girl from Guatemala. It goes from the beginning to the present day...The ups and downs and everything in between. Again a perfect example of the power of blogs and how they can be used.

Everything and Nothing

Frank Sinatra has a great song entitled...All or Nothing At All...well, that's the concept behind this blog and it is turning out to be more of everything...Although only a few months old, you can tell that this will be a blog that lasts. It's great to see a blog that posts every day...it shows a dedication to your blog and to your interests. One interest of this blogger is Reiki. I've always been fascinated by the practice of Reiki and it is described here in this blog as the blogger herself actually practices it! Well done and keep up the good work.

Southern Charm

OK...I think if you Google Clay Aiken you're bound to see on the top of the page this southern blog above. Aside from Clay, you'll find commentary on entertainment...recipies...and bits and pieces about her life in general...this blog is fun to check out...especially if you are a big fan of you know who.

DONATE

I've added a donate button on the sidebar to keep in true form with Monetized Mondays! Here I am preaching monetization and I didn't have a donate button myself...actually thought I did.
I think I might have made my first advertising sale on my other blog http://www.pestcontrolinfo.blogspot.com/ for 35 dollars. If the Sarah agrees then I will be posting about her company on pest control info as well as a "critique" on this blog as well...couldn't hurt.

Friday

Anywho

I need to apologize to this blogger who submitted their blog back when CMB was on sabbatical. I'm glad anyhow re-submitted because it's a interesting blog written by a blogger from Singapore. I love blogs from other parts of the world especially when they write about the customs of their country like this one. The blog itself is an interesting gathering of the blogger's thoughts and ideas along with a cool template. I'm finding more and more that bloggers are becoming so creative with their blogs and it's nice to see.

Infinitely Crazy Blog

Where truth is always stranger than fiction...how true is that statement from our crazy blogger? The crazy king of clowns, as he likes to be called, has a baby of a blog with only two months under it's belt and it's already making a buzz! Aside from an awesome template and sharp looking format...he is also organizing a link exchange program which is always beneficial to all parties involved. Check out this crazy blogger and say hello from CMB.

Are we worthy?

How can I possibly critique a famous writer who's been written up in the New York Times? I feel honored that Lexa Rosean would want to be listed on CMB and all I can say is that her blog and her website www.lexarosean.com is worth a visit. On Lexa's website is a Bio of her that is more than interesting and on that website you can see some of the write ups about her and the books she has written...Talk about an extreme and interesting life...you've got to check out this blog and her web site...also, through the website there is another to another blog. Thank you for your critique request...but I have to step aside and let the bloggers that visit here check your stuff out and get a taste of a hip and interesting writer in the true sense of the word.

The blog of hopeful spirits

This hopeful spirit blogs about her spiritual journey through life. She chose the blog platform to express her thoughts and feelings and follows a themed format with posts about her own life sprinkled in. Being only a few months old it's clear to see where she has been and where she is going in her journey with clearly written posts and lot's of interesting stuff to see...nice job.

Thursday

The Night Owl's Blog Review

The night owl, as she's called, has a blog that is growing in popularity and that is where you follow the format of the wordless Wednesdays and thankful Thursday type things...in between you sprinkle you own stuff...This lovely lady is retired 3 years from working the night shift (hence the name) in a hospital nursery with special care children...this requires a big heart and that big heart is further shown in this post to her husband. Great job...nicely done!

Bev's Blog critique

Just a hop, skip, and a jump across state from me is where our next blogger hails from. Bev's blog, Blessed Beyond Measure, is a study in feeling at peace with yourself and loving life. I get a very positive vibe when I read through Bev's Blog and it's evident she puts alot of time and thought into her posts. She's had her ups and downs as mentioned in a post from early on...but it seems this blogger is a firm believer in faith and it comes across clearly as such. Loved the blog and keep the blog rolling!

Money Blog

If money is your thing then you have to check out this blog...it is the beginning of a long list of ways to monetize your blog with reviews and explanations of each. He should enter Monetized Mondays!

First step

Iris brings us a inspirational blog where she uses the blog platform as almost a self help tool. She does a fantastic job of projecting problems and struggles she has dealt with in her life and puts the in written form. It's a real, honest to goodness, journal where she goes in depth about where she's been...where she wants to go...and how she's going to get there. Excellent job and well done Iris. Keep up the good work.
Her other blog http://iris1966.blogspot.com/ is a fun and witty look on observations and things in general...When I opened the blog the first blog that hit me was about Rachael Ray...Yummo!
