Finding a niche is a great way to express yourself and make some side money with affiliates. As I search out the many blogs out there I see alot of personal blogs, some about the birth of their children and some about their day to day lives. Some are poem based and some people like to write fiction.

I think that if you have a specialty writing a blog is a good way to tweak that specialty and a good incentive to do more research about that specialty as you blog about it. Within these blogs you can incorporate adsense or other affiliate programs and make a little extra cash.
